youse guyz are probably wondering

... why I haven't been blogging. Well here is the answer.

While we were at Hotel des Arts in Montmartre, I bought a 24 hours of meteor wireless network connect time with the expectation that I would be able to find a meteor hotspot somewhere near Hotel Esmeralda (our next hotel). The short version of the story is

1. I didn't find a meteor hot spot
2. because I had 20 some odd hours of meteor wifi that I had paid for I kept looking for a nearby meteor hotspot rather than pay more money to use a cybercafe.

I did stumble across a McDonalds that offered free meteor wifi access but they restricted you to HTTP access only which meant I couldn't blog pictures. All this frustration and trying to access the meteor network I had high hopes about really took the steam out of my sails.

Now that I'm back home and can use our DSL, I will continue to blog the back log of pictures we took.

due to some problems using the hello program (it doesn't seem to like it when I tell it to blog one picture before the previous picture has finished being transferred) some pictures and the corresponding commentary do not appear in the order I intended (e.g. the Adeline pictures).

Also note that the blog displays postings in reverse chronological order. Sometimes I post several pictures with a sentence of commentary spread across several pictures. For this to make sense you gotta start and the bottom most picture and work your way up.
